Finding Casa Las Piedras

The village of Troncones is less than an hour's drive from the Zihuatanejo-Ixtapa International Airport. Local taxis are familiar with Troncones. Rental cars are also available.

Leaving the airport follow the signs towards Zihuatanejo-Ixtapa. The road from the airport merges with "Carretera Nacional 200" that follows the coast. Stay on the main highway, which passes through part of Zihuatanejo but bypasses Ixtapa, then goes through several smaller villages. At the 30 kilometer marker out of Zihuatanejo there are signs marking the turnoff to Troncones. Turn left off the main highway and follow the road until it comes to a "T" intersection just past the village. Turn right and continue down the dirt road for about 2 miles. We are on the beach side about a half mile before Playa Manzanillo.
